What is STEMSS Cruise EL?
Most, if not all teachers have been introduced to, or are actively engaged in, facilitating STEM lessons and activities. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Best teaching practices dictate that these content areas be integrated, and not taught as stand-alone subjects. STEMSS takes this pedagogy a bit further by adding in one or more social studies components such as geography, history or economics. In doing so, lessons represent an even more real-world context approach to teaching.
What is meant by STEMSS pedagogy? STEMSS lessons are composed and sequenced so that the integration of content areas is seamless, logical and holistic. And, Why STEMSS Cruise EL? This project was funded in part by an NPD US DoE grant titled: STEMSS Content for Relational Understanding and to lntegrate Strategies in E-learning for English Learners.
