Module 6: We The People:
Collectively Thinking for lndependence
Module Itinerary
Stop 1: Explore perspectives, events leading up to and after our lndependence, and the significance of collectively thinking about independence in modern times. Then, reflect on what you have learned and post your thoughts.
Stop 2: Explore the STEMSS lesson planning approach to support ELs. You will also learn about integration of content, aligning content to standards, technology and EL strategies.
Stop 3: Explore STEMSS lessons and learn about the different components that make up an effective lesson. Share what you have learned by thinking about quick chat / quick write and collaborating with others.
Stop 4: Reflect on all that you have learned, then brainstorm activity ideas on perspectives and independence. Create an activity outline including subject integration, technology and EL strategies.

PLEASE NOTE:
Keep in mind this Module is in draft form, and we are looking for your valuable input to help us make it an effective learning tool for teachers. In this Module, we are focusing on technology and quick chat / quick write as teaching and learning strategies. Identify what you see in pictures, then try a different angle and look for a different image.

Identify your perspective and explain if you have the same idea or different than the person who wrote it.

Identify ways that both perspective and perception can have either a positive or negative impact why / why not ?

Use a social media platform to share a newly discovered resource and ‘AHA’ moments with others competing this Module
